Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss | 34 Years
Billie Jean King’s long-time partner Ilana Kloss calls her ‘the people’s champion’ for she constantly works to uplift others. This trait of hers was the reason for their first meeting back in 1967 when Kloss was only eleven. The 23-year-old tennis superstar saw Ilana’s potential in the game and encouraged her to pursue it professionally.
Billie eventually acknowledged Kloss publicly as more than her doubles partner by 1987. The couple has been in each other’s lives longer through thick and thin. Including the senior’s fight for gender equality in sports to her iconic and highly-televised match in 1973. Today, we’re happy to report they’re still going strong.
