Tina Engel ist bekannt als eine deutsche Schauspielerin und Theaterregisseurin. Sie wirkte in mehreren Filmen mit. Die Powerfrau stand am Renaissance-Theater Berlin ab November 2010 in dem Stück Blütenträume von Lutz Hübner als Schauspielerin auf der Bühne. 1978 erhielt sie für ihre darstellerische Leistung in Margarethe von Trottas « Das zweite Erwachen der Christa Klages » das Filmband in Gold. Sie verkörperte in Volker Schlöndorffs Romanverfilmung « Die Blechtrommel » Oskar Matzeraths Großmutter, die einen Brandstifter unter ihren Röcken versteckt und dabei geschwängert wird. Im TV ist sie hauptsächlich in Krimiserien zu sehen.
