Rowan Atkinson’s space-age herenhuis of tankstation is na meer dan een decennium van burenruzies en een investering van 6,2 miljoen dollar eindelijk op weg naar voltooiing. De ster van Mr. Bean heeft in 2006 het Handsmooth House en het bijbehorende stuk grond van 16 hectare aangekocht voor 3,2 miljoen dollar en heeft de laatste tien jaar besteed aan het creëren van een ultra modern huis. De woning beschikt over vijf slaapkamers, uitkijkend over de fraaie Chiltern Hills, en daarnaast over een brug die de twee vleugels van het huis met elkaar verbindt. De atrium vormige huiskamer, het dak met zonnepanelen, aan het oog onttrokken garage en de luxueuze logeer vleugel van twee verdiepingen zijn werkelijk spectaculaire aspecten.
