Stephen is een Engelse profvoetbalmanager en oud-speler. Tegenwoordig leidinggevend aan Rangers in de Schotse Premier League. Gerrard maakte zijn debuut voor Liverpool in 1998. Als negenjarige werd de voetballer ontdekt door een scout van Liverpool. Zijn eerste profcontract tekende hij bij Liverpool toen hij 17 jaar oud was.
Contractueel had de manager van de Rangers recht op een inkomen van 3,4 miljoen dollar per jaar. Op het hoogtepunt van zijn carrière bij Liverpool verdiende hij ongeveer 251.254 dollar per week. Wanneer hij bij de LA Galaxy de krabbel op het contract plaatste, verdiende de speler 5,8 miljoen dollar per jaar. Tegenwoordig is hij 90 miljoen dollar waard.
