However, these activities and resorts helped increase the value of the land, which was ultimately profitable for Marcel. This proves that Marcel was a genius since he knew where to invest his money and knew that this would be a profitable thing in the future. Apart from owning land, he built a few homes, which he later rented out. This also helped in increasing his wealth.

With increasing wealth, Marcel never gave up his simple life. In fact, he was the richest person in the village. He could have built a gorgeous castle, but no, his simplicity was his statement. Moreover, his relationship with family and friends and other people in the village stayed the same. Marcel was a very down-to-earth man. Many people who were interested in buying his land came by.
