Chris Hemsworth became a household name in Hollywood ever since he started playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His character had a lot of fight scenes, and he has his stuntman, Bobby Holland Hanton, to thank for making his time on set more comfortable.

Hanton once mentioned in an interview that he hits the gym twice per day so that he could get as buff as Hemsworth. He also doubled for the actor in non-Marvel films like Men in Black: International and The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Sources say he’s doing stunts for the upcoming Batman film starring Robbert Pattinson.

 Brad Pitt & Stunt Double Zack Duhame – Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Brad Pitt may have played a stunt double in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but his stuntman role came with a stuntman too! His double is named Zack Duhame. It was the first time he worked with the A-list star, but Duhame has already been doing stunts since the late ’90s.

Duhame also did the stunts of famous actors like Shia LaBeouf and Ben Foster. Stunt work has impressively been making his fortune grow, and he’s going to get even wealthier because he’s part of upcoming films Matrix 4 and Top Gun: Maverick.

Johnny Depp & Stunt Double Tony Angelotti – Pirates Of The Caribbean

Johnny Depp portrayed a lot of roles over the years, but one of his most popular ones is his starring role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. His character has such a distinctive look, but they were able to replicate everything for his stunt double Tony Angelotti.

However, because of a practice stunt that got him sent to a hospital, Angelotti sued Walt Disney Co. and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for negligence in 2007. Elijah Wood is the talented actor who starred in the Lord of the Rings franchise. His stunt double’s name is Kiran Shah, and he’s actually a “scale double” so that the editors knew how to make Elijah look hobbit-sized in the film. Apart from the same costume and hairstyle, these two had to do the same movements too.

Shah has also done stunts for films like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Titanic. He’s balancing stunt work with acting work, and he’s reportedly going to appear in a new movie called Tomorrow’s Taken. According to the Guinness World Records, Shah is the world’s shortest stuntman.

For many years, Hugh Jackman had given life to the role of Wolverine in different X-Men movies. He might have been fit enough to do stunts then, but he still had a stunt double nonetheless. The double’s name is Richard Bradshaw, and he first did Wolverine’s stunts in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Bradshaw has made a ton of money from stunt work since the ’90s, and other actors he has filled in for were Colin Firth and Chris Pine. He won’t be stopping anytime soon, for he’s the stunt coordinator of the ongoing Batwoman series.

The late Carrie Fisher will forever be known for her iconic performance in the Star Wars franchise. She has a stunt double in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and her name is Tracey Eddon. The film was one of the reasons Eddon became such a notable stuntwoman.

But because some scenes had some complicated footwork, a stuntman named Kyle Rowling stood in for him. The two got to work together again in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Rowling doesn’t only get his earnings for standing in for actors, for he also gets hired to be a stunt coordinator or fight director. He’s reportedly going to be coordinating the stunts for the upcoming movie titled The Order.

Reese Witherspoon & Stunt Double Marilee Lessley – Big Little Lies

Some of you might think that actress Reese Witherspoon is posing with her long lost twin, but that’s her body double, Marilee Lessley. She stood in for her in the show called Big Little Lies. Their facial shape, teeth, and physique are all similar, so Lessley is undoubtedly the perfect double for her.

Witherspoon posted a photo with her double on Instagram back in 2018, and everyone went crazy about how much they were twinning. She has a new Legally Blonde sequel coming up, but it’s unclear if Lessley will still be her double in the film. It’s likely, though, since she’s doubled for her in five films already.

Robert De Niro & Stunt Double Rick Avery – Dirty Grandpa

Robert De Niro had some challenging scenes in his comedy film with Zac Efron titled Dirty Grandpa. However, it was his double named Rick Avery that did all of his complicated stunts. Rick can pull off the “old guy” look thanks to his white hair, but he’s as fit as guys way younger than him.

The 2013 film called Killing Season was the first time the two guys started working together, and it looks like they’ve maintained a close relationship ever since. Dwayne Johnson knows a thing or two about stunts since he used to be a professional wrestler. He eventually became a bigger star when he got into acting, and many of his characters did cool stunts. For the film Pain and Gain, his body double was Tanoai Reed.

Their relationship with each other wasn’t only on a work level, because they were cousins. They’ve been working closely over the years for Reed also doubled for his cousin in the Fast & Furious and Jumanji Films. The next film the cousins will be working on is Red Notice.
