Sharon Osbourne Admits She ‘Overdid’ Ozempic Weight Loss

Sharon Osbourne is not shy about speaking her mind, especially when it comes to her health. From surgery to strict diets to now Ozempic, Sharon Osbourne has tried it all. And this time, she admits she may have pushed it too far.

Her weight has always been a public conversation – sometimes by choice, sometimes not. But Sharon keeps it real. At 72, she has learned that looking good doesn’t always feel good, and extreme changes don’t always bring peace.

Her First Big Weight Loss

Back in 1999, Sharon Osbourne had lap band surgery. It worked fast, and she lost over 100 pounds. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Years later, she had the band removed. The reason? Eating became a struggle. She felt sick, had digestive issues, and couldn’t enjoy food the same way.

The weight was off, but the cost was high. She didn’t like how the surgery changed her relationship with food. That is when she realized losing weight is not just about numbers. It is also about how you live and feel every day.

She Switched to Dieting

After removing the band, Sharon Osbourne turned to the Atkins diet. She even became a brand ambassador for it. Her goal was to find a better way to eat. But she admitted she cheated on the diet often. Still, she didn’t let guilt ruin her progress.

Instead of starting over every time she messed up, she kept moving. She knew her relationship with food was messy. She called herself a food addict and said she struggled to eat in moderation. But she owned it, and that honesty helped her find some balance.

Ozempic Gave Sharon Osbourne a New Boost

Fast forward to 2023, and Sharon Osbourne turned to Ozempic. The drug, originally made for diabetes, quickly became the go-to for weight loss. Sharon started using it and saw fast results. She lost a noticeable amount of weight – but maybe too much.

Sharon / IG / Sharon says that Ozempic killed her appetite, which made her sick during the first few weeks. Nausea and vomiting were part of the ride. But after a while, those symptoms faded.

The hunger didn’t come back, though. That is when she realized she might have taken things too far.

She Lost ‘Too Much’ and Couldn’t Gain It Back

By late 2023, Sharon Osbourne said she felt too thin. At one point, she weighed just over 97 pounds. She tried to put weight back on, but her body didn’t respond. Clothes hung off her frame. She didn’t like what she saw in the mirror.

Despite wanting to bulk up a bit, her appetite was still low. Ozempic had changed the way she ate and felt about food, even months after stopping. She wasn’t proud of how far she had gone – she felt she had overdone it.

Done With the Yo-Yo

In 2024, Sharon made it clear: She is finished chasing extreme weight loss. She told The Guardian that she is tired of the ups and downs. After years of surgery, dieting, and meds, she wants to stop the cycle. She says she is learning to accept her body the way it is.

She also opened up about self-image. At this point in her life, she is not chasing approval. She is not doing it for TV, fans, or anyone else. Instead, she just wants to feel good in her own skin. That is where she is now. Choosing peace over pressure!
