Bekannt ist Claudia Pechstein als eine deutsche Eisschnellläuferin und Polizeihauptmeisterin der Bundespolizei. Geschätzt wird Claudia Pechsteins Vermögen auf rund 1,5 Millionen Euro. Sie war mit insgesamt neun olympischen Medaillen, fünf Gold-, zwei Silber- und zwei Bronzemedaillen, bis zur Goldmedaille von Ireen Wüst bei den Olympischen Winterspielen 2018 in PyeongChang die erfolgreichste olympische Eisschnellläuferin aller Zeiten und gleichzeitig die erfolgreichste deutsche Winterolympionikin aller Zeiten. Pechstein wurde nach den Weltmeisterschaften in Norwegen im Februar 2009 des Blutdopings bezichtigt und für zwei Jahre für alle Wettkämpfe gesperrt. Mittlerweile ist sie mit Matthias Große liierrt.
