Bastian Schweinsteiger und seine Ehefrau Ana werden mit den Kindern schon sehr bald nicht mehr in ihrer Wahlheimat Chicago wohnen. Allerdings kommt die sportliche Familie nicht wie von den Fans erwartet nach Deutschland, dafür aber ins Nachbarland Österreich. Dort hat sich die Familie ein Grundstück gekauft und lässt jetzt ein Haus darauf bauen. Die Tiroler Gemeinde freut sich, auf einen so prominenten Neugang zählen zu können. Was bekannt wurde ist, dass das gekaufte Grundstück mit einer Hauptwohnsitz-Widmung versehen ist, was bedeutet, dass Bastian Schweinsteiger und seine Familie ihren Lebensmittelpunkt gezwungenermassen nach Tirol verlagern müssen.
