Shelley Long – Age 72

The American actress and comedian sky-rocketed to fame for playing the role of Diane Chambers on the hit sitcom Cheers. Her performance in Cheers got her five Emmy nominations; in 1983, she won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Long won two Golden Globe Awards for the same role.

More recently, she played the recurring role of DeDe Pritchett on the ABC comedy show Modern Family. Shelley attended Northwestern University, where she studied drama; however, she dropped out to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Finally, she got her first break as an actress by doing commercials in Chicago.
