Why The Staff Didn’t Need To Use The Hallways

During the 1910s, those who possessed a big fortune often felt like they were above anyone else. Such a belief is crazy in our modern-day, but it was the sad reality of the world back then. In the first-class area of the RMS Titanic, the staff’s quarters were all strategically hidden.

All the rooms were connected so that they can refrain from walking down the same hallway as the affluent guests. The staff members didn’t receive a big paycheck, but they still preferred to have low income rather than no income.
