The rates the guests had to pay to enjoy the first-class amenities were extremely high, so only those with a big bank account could stay there. Sources say that the first-class parlor suite on the ship costs around $4,350, which is about $100K in today’s value.

Guests got what they paid for because each room got decorated with some pretty upscale decorations. The design of the rooms got inspired by the era of Louis XV, Queen Anne, and Louis XVI. People might think these rooms look so simple today, but everyone in the 1910s thought they were the best of the best.
