Mellody Hobson & George Lucas – $6.4 Billion
Mellody Hobson is an American businesswoman, president, and co-CEO of Ariel Investments. In 2006, Hobson began dating the “Star Wars” creator George Lucus, who has an estimated net worth of $6.4 billion.
The couple announced their engagement in January 2013 and got married a few months later at Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. They have a daughter together who was born via surrogacy. Hobson headed the Economic Club of Chicago in 2017 and became the first African-American woman to do so. She has also appeared on the Jack Good Show, where she accepted the appreciation for her charitable work with Birmingham’s Bright Leaders of Tomorrow.
