GOLDEN AGE STARS WHO ARE STILL ALIVE AND DOING GREAT AT RETIREMENT!

DOROTHY HAMILL – AGE 65

A former American figure skater, Dorothy Hamill, was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father was a mechanical engineer, and soon after her birth, her family moved to the Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich. She had been awarded the National Young American Award, Golden Plate Award, and she also received a Daytime Emmy Award for hosting “Romeo And Juliet On Ice.” In 1976, she announced her retirement.

She started skating at the age of 8. Dorothy would wake up early in the morning to go to the rink for practise at 4:30 am. She has penned down two autobiographies titled “On And Off The Ice” and “A Skating Life”.
