Petula Clark – Age 88

Petula Clark is blessed with a voice sweet as sugar. For the first time, she broke into the limelight as a child artist who entertained world war 2 troops on both radios and in concert. She ventured to radio in 1942 and sang It’s All Yours. By the 1950’s, her singing career picked up the pace; she became an international sensation and released many hit singles.

Her film career began when she came across Maurice Elvey at London’s Royal Albert Hall and offered her a role. Medal For The General was the first film of Petula, and she later went on to play different roles in several memorable films.

TOMMY STEELE – 84 YEARS

Tommy Steele, the first teen idol of rock and roll has been in show business for over six decades now. Tommy Steele’s list of accomplishments are long enough to fill up two pages! He was honoured with The Lifetime Achievement Award by the British Music Hall Society. With his soulful baritone and boyish good looks, Tommy Steele has always been a heartthrob.

“An Evening with Tommy Steele,” was a one-man show, which lasted for fourteen months at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Tommy married Ann Donoghue and has one lovely baby girl. Tommy’s biography “A Life in the Spotlight”, was written by his fan and archivist Sebastian Lassandro.

LULU – 73 YEARS

Lulu Kennedy-Cairns is an iconic Scottish singer and actress who achieved so much in her lifetime. She’s been honored with Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to music, entertainment as well charity and Birthday Honours.

Lulu developed an interest in Siddha Yoga in the later years. She became a mother of a handsome son named Jordan from her marriage to John Frieda. Lulu has been a part of some well-known projects. She’s worked with Dome, Mercury and Universal to name just three! Currently Lulu does musical tours. She penned her life in her autobiography I Don’t Want To Fight.

 Twiggy – Age 71

A master of different trades, Twiggy is an elegant model, TV personality, and melodious singer. She brought back the long lost trend of bob haircut and striking eye makeup. This fashionista earned the title of The Face of 1966, given to her by Daily Express. In the 1970s, she made her silver screen debut by appearing in The Boy Friend, Ken Russell’s Musical. She also got the chance to feature as a Next Top Model judge, a popular competition show for models.

Twiggy appeared big times on cover pages of leading fashion magazines. She became a modeling face for Spencer and Marks in 2005 and worked with Myleene Klass.

 JULIA MCKENZIE – 80 YEARS

Julia McKenzie is an English actress, singer, presenter, and theatre director. She has been working non-stop since 1966. Her filmography is highly impressive with projects like “Hotel du Lac”, “Bright Young Things”, “ Notes On A Scandal.” The list of her awards and nominations is also broad. She has won Olivier Award For Best Actress In A Musical, Evening Standard Award For Best Actress, and she has got outstanding nominations.

She has also lent her voice on the radio, and the credits include plays like “Blithe Spirit,” “The Country Wife”, a novel called “A Room With A View”, etc. Her upcoming projects are tentative and yet to be announced.

Richard Chamberlain | Age 87

This American actor and singer was born on 31st March 1934 in Beverly Hills. Besides being an actor and singer, he has also worked in musical theaters and has performed classical stage roles. Thus, he became a leading heartthrob of the early 1960s.

Richard won the Golden Apple Award for the Most Cooperative Actor in 1962. Furthermore, he was awarded the Golden Globe award in 1963 for best TV Star- Male. Chamberlain was also nominated for a Grammy Award for the recording of his Hamlet. Apart from this, if we talk about his personal life, he was romantically involved with a television actor Wesley Eure, in the early 1960s.

MARTY WILDE – 82 YEARS

Marty’s life has been one long journey of adventure, spanning from America to London and everywhere in between. He was first recognized as an actor when he starred alongside Bing Crosby for “The Hellions,” but it wasn’t until later on that most people became aware of his music writing talents under both Philips Records and Epic Records.

He married the love of his life, Joyce Smith, and they have four beautiful children. Marty belongs to a family that has had an interest in music. He has consecutively topped the UK charts by songwriting or through his vocals, making him a distinguished artist. Currently, he tours in the UK and the USA.
