Len Lesser

Before working as a consistent actor after 1955, Len was in the US army. He served in the China Burma India Theater at the time of World War II and was later promoted to sergeant. After being in the army, he was active in acting for a long time. Len Lesser worked in a number of TV shows and films from 1955 to 2005.

He was famous for his role in the film Kelly’s Heroes. On TV, he was mostly known as Jerry Seinfeld’s Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, and as Garvin, a friend of Frank Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond. Len died of Cancer-related pneumonia on 16 February 2011.
