Marcia Wallace
Marcia Wallace was an actress and comedian who was known for her tall frame, red hair, and distinctive laugh. She had a career spanning five decades on T.V., film, and stage. Wallace is best known for her role as Carol Kester in The Bob Newhart Show. This role was specially created for her since she was a frequent guest on The Merv Griffin Show.
In 1985, Wallace was diagnosed with breast cancer. Right after that, she became a cancer activist and continued to spread awareness amongst people throughout her life. Wallace passed away from pneumonia and sepsis in October 2013, a week before her 71st birthday.
