Famous People Who Died & Will Always Be in Our Hearts
Richard Griffiths
Remember the muggle Uncle Vernon of Harry Potter? Or Henry Crabbe in Pie in the Sky? These roles were wonderfully played by the British actor Richard Griffiths. Through his various supporting and lead roles in films, TV, and theater, he earned multiple awards, including Tony and Theater World Awards.
However, he came from the era of radio and the classical stage, and had already earned the reputation of being a Shakespearean clown and was great with dialects. While he was still active at work, Richard died of some complications following heart surgery in March 2013 at the age of 65.
