Im Jahr 2016 kam der Moment, in dem das Paar wusste, dass es an der Zeit war, die Dinge zu verändern. Im gleichen Jahr entschlossen sich die beiden zu zwei Dingen. Sie wollten heiraten, aber auch ihr Gewichtsproblem gemeinsam angehen. Dabei war nicht viel Überzeugungskraft notwendig. Sie wollten heiraten, das war klar, und dass sie Gewicht verlieren wollten, auch. Das Paar plante eine Familie zu gründen, doch Kinder waren bei solch einem Gewicht sehr schwierig. Sie waren sich darüber im Klaren, dass der Zeitpunkt für einen Neuanfang gekommen war.
