Joachim Loew – Age 61 years

Der deutsche Ex-Fussspieler Joachim Löw ist zurzeit beim DFB als Fußball-Nationaltrainer tätig und verdient damit die beachtliche Summe von 3,8 Millionen Euro im Jahr. Heute ist der bereits 66-Jährige auch öfter als Sportkommentator zu sehen und wird zu Talkshows bei Sporteventen eingeladen. Seit 1986 ist er mit seiner Frau Daniela verheiratet. Er war derjenige, der von seinen Fans besonders dafür geschätzt wurde, dass er 2014 sein Team zum Sieg bei der FIFA-Weltmeisterschaft in Brasilien geführt hat, und nur drei Jahre später in Russland beim FIFA-Konföderationen-Pokal.

Peter Maffay – Age 71 years

With more than 14 million records sold, Peter Maffay hot is one of the most successful musicians in Germany. He is also a composer, music producer and actor and shows a special social commitment. Gitte Haening – Age 74 years

Freddy Quinn – Age 89 years

Freddy Quinn is also still popular, especially among today’s older generations, who still enjoy listening to his music. The Austrian with the soothing voice. It’s hard to believe, but the former singer is already a proud 89 years old and is in his well-deserved retirement. His breakthrough came in 1956 with the song “Heimweh”, with which he delighted the entire German audience. This song was one of the best-selling titles at the time. His well-known seaman’s ballads found great acceptance, especially in the post-war period, because they gave people courage and hope again.

Agnetha Faltskog – Age 71 years

In the 1970s, Agnetha Fältskog became internationally known as one of the four members of the group ABBA. The band was formed in 1972 and lasted a total of 10 years before disbanding. After that, the now 71-year-old continued with three solo albums. Then she decided to turn her back on the music business in the late 1980s. No one thought this break would be 17 years long. She uses this time to devote herself to studying astrology in her country house. She also did yoga and horseback riding.

Otto Walkees – Age 72 years

Otto Waalkes is considered one of the greatest German comedians. His trademarks are the emphasis on his East Frisian origins, tough jokes and his own body language. In addition to the humor programs, Otto Waalkes is also active as a musician, comic artist, actor, dubbing artist and director. He began his stage career as a member of the beat band The Rustlers. From 1973 to 1983, his “Otto Shows” ran successfully on ARD and ZDF, and in 1995 “Otto – die Serie” was added on RTL. His cinema films also reached an audience of millions. This year he was a guest judge on the GNTM 2021 casting show alongside Heidi Klum.

Thea Gottschalk – Alter 75 Jahre

Vor einigen Jahren war Thea Gottschalk noch mit ihrem Ex-Ehemann Thomas Gottschalk zusammen. Leider trennten sich die beiden nach über 40 Jahren Ehe. Die heute bereits 75-Jährige spielte in den 1980er Jahren Nebenrollen in drei Supernasen-Filmen. Gottschalk ist und bleibt eine sehr besondere Frau. Sie hat dem deutschen Moderator stets den Rücken gestärkt. Dabei war ihre Extravaganz, mit der sie sich gemeinsam mit ihrem Ehemann in der Öffentlichkeit zeigte, immer auffallend. Noch immer hat sie diese Art sich zu kleiden und dies wurde buchstäblich zu ihrer Marke. Da können wir nur “chapeau” sagen!

Birgit Schrowange – Age 63 years

Presenter Birgit Schrowange, who is already 63 today, made her first appearance in front of the camera in 1981 as presenter of the WDR school television program. Nobody thought that this moment would lead to a great career in television. She later switched to ZDF and moderated the show “Aktuelle Hour” there. In 1994, the presenter, who was well known throughout Germany, switched to the private broadcaster RTL. There she moderated the successful show “Extra – Das RTL-Magazine” until 2019. Added to this was the moderation between 1995 and 2004 of the program “Life! – The desire to live” before finally deciding to retire in 2019.

Nena- age 61 years

1983 was the year everyone sang the song “99 Luftballons” by Nena. At first it was only available in German, but when it was released in English as well, the German singer-songwriter, actress and comedian gained international fame. Today, the 61-year-old is a member of the jury for the show “The Voice of Germany”. Even today, Nena has the same appearance as when she became internationally known. The dark hair and her way of dressing are still eye-catchers next to her extraordinary name.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – Age 65 years

“Kalle” was his nickname at the time when Karl-Heinz Rummenigge started his meteoric career as a football player at FC Bayern. He won a number of titles for the club at the time, which also earned him the award for his talent more than once in the international rankings as “Best Player in the World”. Furthermore, Rummenigge managed to become vice world champion twice during his career with the German national team. The 65-year-old is now an official, where he worked his way up to the top of the management level at FC Bayern.

Roland Kaiser – Age 69 years

Roland Kaiser can be counted among the most successful German-speaking pop singers today, along with others. He made it to the top of the industry and is still there today. The 69-year-old has sold over 90 million records over the course of his career. And he has been in the music business for more than 40 years now.

Andrea Berg – Age 55 years

Schlager and Andrea Berg simply belong together. It is simply impossible to imagine today’s hit industry without it. It has one of the largest fan bases of German Schlager music and has sold more than 14 million records. Her concerts were attended by over 4 million people throughout Germany. The 55-year-old singer is far from planning to retire as she says she still has a lot to offer. The fans will of course be happy about that, because there is nothing sadder than seeing your hit star retire early.

Jürgen Klinsmann – Alter 56 Jahre

Steffi Graf – Age 51 years


The name Steffi Graf is really known to almost everyone in the world. She was not only one of the greatest female tennis legends in Germany, but also gained global fame at the time. At just 22, she managed to win the Grand Slam and led the world rankings for 377 weeks. This 51-year-old tennis prodigy is definitely an integral part of tennis. What’s more, she’s the only person in tennis to have won all four Grand Slams in one year as well as the Olympic Games. That’s why she got the so-called “Golden Slam”.

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER – AGE 52

“Schumi” has enjoyed a rapid career in Formula 1 and is a global icon. He is still the undefeated number 1 with the most World Championships and Grand Prix titles. He then retired after a glorious comeback in 2010-2012. The tragic turning point came in 2013: In a skiing accident he had such an injury that he was in a coma for a long time and is still in ongoing rehabilitation today. Only close friends and family can reach him, but they every now and then report that he’s not what he used to be. We wish Schumi all the best on the road to recovery.

Mary Roos – Age 72 years

At the unbelievable age of only 9 years, Mary Roos was already on stage for the first time at a summer night festival of the local carnival association. It was exactly at this point in time that a record producer became aware of them. She took the chance and in 1970 the now 72-year-old singer had her musical breakthrough in Germany with the song “Arizona Man”. This was followed by numerous television appearances as well as her own shows “Marys Music” and “Hans im Glück”. To celebrate her departure from the hit scene, Florian Silbereisen even organized a surprise show for her on MDR.
