Zu den Spielerfrauen der Profi-Fußballer hat man in der Regel immer ein Gesicht vor Augen. Oft haben sie den Wunsch, etwas vom Rampenlicht der Stars an ihrer Seite abzubekommen und drängen sich selbst vor die Kameras. Wenn man an die Frau von Lukas Podolski, Monika, denkt, ist jedoch das genaue Gegenteil der Fall. Die Kamera fängt Monika manchmal zufällig am Spielfeldrand ein – mehr aber auch nicht. Lukas Podolski hält sein Privatleben und damit auch seine Ehefrau und Kinder weitgehend aus der Öffentlichkeit heraus. Es muss sich zeigen, ob das auch noch möglich sein wird, wenn Poldi in der neuen Jury von „Das Supertalent“ sitzen wird.
