Fußballspieler Kimmich und seine Freundin Lina Meyer lernten sich im Ticket- und Fanshop von RB Leipzig kennen, als der Schwabe aus Rottweil noch für die Sachsen spielte. Nachdem Kimmich im Jahr 2015 aus Leipzig, wohin er ausgeliehen war, und konkret vom VfB Stuttgart zum FC Bayern gewechselt war, führten die zwei eine Fernbeziehung. Lina Meyer meidet öffentliche Auftritte, ihr Instagram-Account, über den sie früher verliebte “Schnappschüsse” teilte, ist nun auf privat eingestellt und nicht so einfach einsehbar. Auch Kimmich zeigt umgekehrt auf seinen Social-Media-Kanälen keine Posts mit seiner Freundin – im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Fußballern, wie etwa Mario Götze von PSV Eindhoven mit seiner Frau Ann-Kathrin.
