GEORGE ALAGIAH AND FRANCES ROBATHAN |38 YEARS
George Maxwell Alagiah is a British news presenter and journalist who joined the BBC after working for seven years with “South Magazine.” Alagiah has interviewed many world-renowned people, from “Nelson Mandela “to the revolutionary President of Zimbabwe, “Robert Mugabe.” His excellent coverage of the political conflict in Kosovo even earned him a BAFTA award.
George married Frances Robathan, a Partnerships adviser whom he met at Durham University in the year 1984. They have two children together, Adam and Matthew, who they’re raising into responsible adults. They have found comfort in one another and are living a life that most of us dream of having.
