JENNIFER SAUNDERS AND ADE EDMONDSON |36 YEARS
Jennifer Jane Saunders, a British actress, and screenwriter, first rose to prominence with the BBC’s Absolutely Fabulous, created and starred by her from 1992-2012. She co-wrote the comedic sketch show “French and Saunders” with her best friend, Dawn French, which went on air for more than a decade. Her husband of 36 years, Ade Edmondson, is no less competitive in his escalating career of comedy, music, and screenwriting.
The couple first met at a comedic strip club when both were in their early 20’s. Ade hankered after her for five years before he finally mustered enough courage to ask her hand in marriage.
