In 2010, she excelled in the continental championship, earning accolades such as Best Libero, Digger, and Receiver. Her success continued in the 2012 NORCECA U20 Championship, where she won the gold medal and was honored as the Most Valuable Player. Fernandez also secured the gold medal in the 2012 U23 Pan-American Cup and made her debut with the senior national team in the 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix.
