SERBIA

While other fans try to be quiet and reserved during games, the Portuguese fans are anything but silent. They love to get wild and crazy, often cavorting on the pitch or even fighting with each other in celebration. This was especially evident at the 2018 World Cup, where Carlos Brum and Pedro Lobotomy drove 7000 kilometers from Lisbon to Russia to cheer on their team.

Thanks to this passion, the Portuguese team was ranked sixth in the FIFA men’s ranking in 2018 and had dropped to ninth as of October 2022. With such passionate fans always ready to get into the game, Portugal is definitely looking forward to the next World Cup!

SOUTH AFRICA

It’s no wonder Tifosi put the fan into fanaticism.

Italy’s team, commonly known as the “Azzurri,” last won a World Cup title in 2006. They placed 2nd in the 2006 FIFA men’s rankings. In 2022, they were placed 6th on the list. Italy’s fan base is still passionate about the representation of its country on the world stage.

NETHERLANDS

The Dutch are well-known for their use of the color orange, which has served as the country’s national color for many years. The hue was derived from the House of Orange-Nassau, a Dutch royal family, and was also prominently featured in the name of the national soccer team. In fact, it’s so popular that it’s even featured in the country’s currency!

Orange color is beloved by legions of fans who often sport matching outfits to significant matches. As the Netherlands national football team qualified for the World Cup in 2022, this fan showed her patriotism and support by dressing in the same orange color as her country’s team.

USA

In October 2022, the American men’s national team placed 16th in the FIFA men’s ranking, a better position than the 27th it placed in 2014.

COSTA RICA

PARAGUAY
