They could no longer process everything that was going on, and a sudden revelation made things worse. It turned out that Little Black was not a dog after all, and the stranger had supposedly scammed them to take him like a dog.
However, he was close to his geographical origin. Little Black was no longer a special dog breed but a Himalayan black bear. Imagine the fear that would’ve loomed over the family after knowing that it was a wild bear who they petted all this while.
