Adopting A New Pup

After days of thinking through things, Su Yun finalized her decision to extend her love to a pup. Now, she had to choose between buying and adopting a dog. She was aware that adopting a dog would mean giving more time and effort to it than the reared one.

However, her desire for considering a pet that needed more attention got strengthened with time. Su Yun was filled with joy to know that she would be giving a forever home to a pup that needed it.  She imagined her house full of warmth with the barks and playtime of the puppy.

Man’s Best Friend

By now, it was clear that Su Yun was all about dogs and loved them dearly. You must know the attachment you grow to have for the dog if you own one. You can’t ever get enough of their cuddles, no matter how naughty they get around the house.

Dogs bring with them happiness, and Su Yum was hoping for the same. You might have days when they tear up your carpet and your boots, but you enjoy the sheer cuteness on their face. You get overtaken by the love for them to overlook their disobedience at times. Su Yun was waiting to behold such beautiful moments with her dog-to-be.

On A Lookout for A Dog

Su Yun was now on a mission to find a perfect dog for a perfect family like hers. She ran a lot of research around the area of which breed would best suit their preferences. She had to know everything from their characteristics to how to take care of them. She did her utmost to prepare her house to make it more dog-friendly.

She had listed all the things her dog would need, including a dog tag, collar, and a comfy bed. Everything was primed up to help the dog feel comfortable even before he arrived. The pup was going to be lucky to become part of her family.

The Hustle and Bustle in Kunming

As luxurious of life as she wanted to give her little pup, Su Yun lived a straightforward life. It was primarily because she and her family lived in the Chinese city of Kunming that the hustle and bustle was very usual there. She and her husband had to work extra hours to meet all their needs.

The kids were most affected by this routine since they spent little to no time with their parents. As a result, Su Yun planned a trip to break free from the shackles of everyday life. The family wanted to visit someplace else for a vacation, but it came along with a twist.

A Trip That Took An Unwelcoming Turn

Su Yun and her family were all geared up for a trip that was to change their mundanity for a while. Their excitement knew no bounds because it had been a long time since they had gone on an outing. They wanted to get out of their busy lives and see beyond those polluted streets.

They knew that they all wanted a scenic beauty to bond over with one another as a family. It would take them a wholesome trip to become happy and finally get back to their everyday lives. However, so much more went down with them, and they soon became a hot topic among the public.

Adventurous Ride

After days of planning the much-needed trip, Su Yun and her family reached their destination. The days went by in an adventurous way with no time to think about their old routine. The kids relished the freedom of being able to play around freely.

Su Yun and her husband were equally enjoying this ride away from home. To top it all off, they stumbled across a litter of puppies some days into the trip. Su Yun was a dog-lover, and her family was just as crazy about dogs. The whole family was in it together, and they took the litter as a sign to bring home their pup.

Choosing One Among Many

Su Yun couldn’t have possibly imagined being met with a litter of adorable puppies on their trip. They must have hit the jackpot because they had it all during the vacation. The question was whether the family would take one home and who it would be among the many puppies that were stranded.

The children were already dropping at the idea of bringing home one of them. It felt like destiny had wanted to make them meet. The kids were very gentle with the pups, which warmed all of them quickly. Now, it was time to pick and choose one among many.

They Knew It Was Going to Be Him

This trip was a win-win situation for both parties. It was a dreamy situation that was hard to believe would happen in reality. Just when they most wanted a pup, they met a whole bunch of them. These cute puppies had occupied Su Yun’s mind, and she felt a click in her heart as she picked one up.

It must seem silly, but to them, it felt like it was calling out to seek their love. This particular pup felt closer to them than the rest of the litter. They felt an instant connection erupt between them with just grabbing hold of it.

The Owner and His Pups

Su Yun wondered where these cuddly babies came from, and a while later, a man claimed that they were his. They had sealed the deal in their heads for getting the pup home. However, they now feared that their owner might not have them out to sell.

It was good news for Su Yun and her family that the man wanted to sell each one of them. The guy declared that the pup they had selected belonged to a peculiar breed called Tibetian Mastiff. This was it for Su Yun because she had always wanted an exotic dog breed to call her own.

A Caution

The owner warned the family that the breed they had been wanting would most likely grow up to 2 feet. However, Su Yun and her family couldn’t have been held back from getting the pup home. The fact that this breed was scarce made her all the more stubborn in not giving up on him.

They weren’t adopting a dog now, given that this pup was eagerly awaiting for him to be taken to their home. The question was, Was Su Yun and her husband rushing things too soon? The answer would be given to them with time.

A Bundle Of Joy With Little Black

Now that Su Yun’s family took this unique breed, Tibetian Mastiff, along with them. They couldn’t wait any longer to leave the trip and get back to show the pup his new home. Returning from a trip with a fantastic fur ball made everything look satisfying. They had to give him a name when they got creative and decided to call him Little Black.

His dark black fur was very fitting to the name, and there were no second thoughts to it. As ready as they were to welcome him home, they couldn’t see the horrendous things coming to them.

The Heart Of The House

After they arrived home and I packed their stuff, they realized that everything seemed brighter than ever before. The comic blend of kids and Little black filled their house with joy and laughter. They grew in love with each passing day and even shifted Little Black to a warm room.

The weather outside was getting humid, and they couldn’t let the poor pup be uncomfortable. If there were one thing that could fit the puppy best, it would be “spoiled.” The family gave him everything to make him feel at home, and he would enjoy the place of power. They now had a new baby to take care of.

Quite A Picky One

If there’s one thing that everyone knows about dogs, it’s they gorge on almost anything that’s given to them. From eating bread, loaves, bacon to dog foods, they would want it all. However, Su Yun’s beloved dog didn’t seem to eat dog food and would often keep the bowls unattended.

Su Yun tried making new recipes in hopes of working it out with her choosy dog. She used a variety of foods to make out what Little Black would eat. To everyone’s surprise, he only ate fruits and noodles. Now, the family was sure to have to walk down the fruit aisle for their picky dog.

Increasing Appetite

It goes without saying that growing pups have increased hunger. However, with Little Black, he didn’t know when or how to stop eating once he started. First, it was the food combos that got the family troubled. Later, they learned that he needed large amounts of food to fill his appetite.

Dogs are infamous for eating more than the other pets, except that this one was way out of limits. They figured that it could be a unique trait of his breed that made him hungrier than the other dogs. Their whole grocery stock would run out in a couple of days, and they knew they had a problem.

Challenging The Food Budget

This wasn’t it for Little Black; he became needier than ever. A year later, he was eating up about two tubs of noodles and a whole box of fruits. They had set up a food budget for each month, and Little Black would make them exceed it every time. There was no holding him back from this growing appetite.

The family was spending more money on Little Black’s food than for all of them combined. They could’ve had some more money on their hands if they knew about the legal problems that were to fire them up.

They were doing everything in their power to keep feeding the dog.

A Hefty Dog

While the man who owned him before had given them a heads up for how big he would get. Nothing could suffice the fear that was soon to engulf them. They were now seeing Little Black defying the meaning of his name and reaching up to three feet already. That was a shock because that came unexpectedly to the family.

He was hefty and weighed about 250 pounds. The sight of him made one of the guests run with fear. If this wasn’t enough, what Little Black did shook Su Yun to her core. He went from being a small adorable pup to this giant dog that scared people off.

Walking Oddly

The dogs are well capable of warming up our hearts with their unconditional love. They could get naughty and want to be walked down for the play most of the time. However, that doesn’t bother the owners as much as Little black’s odd behavior pulled on the family. As he was growing more prominent, he couldn’t fit into the tiny compartments anymore.

He was pushing over things as he walked, and that wasn’t much of a concern. However, things went down south for the family when Su Yun discovered that their pup was walking on his hind legs like ordinary people.

Red Flags From The Beginning

Such a horrifying incident made Su Yun walk down memory lane and try to figure out if he was at all a dog. She asked herself if it was expected of a dog to exhibit such behavior and concluded that he must not be a typical dog. As beloved as Little Black was amongst the family, he had a lot of characters to terrify anyone.

Su Yum tried to calm herself down, thinking that it was their baby. Her love for him wasn’t ready to accept all that her eyes had witnessed. She had mixed feelings about him now, not knowing what to do anymore.

Being Cautious

Her mom instincts kicked in, and she started being vigilant of Little Black’s every move. At first, she thought to herself that it could just be her mind playing tricks with her. It was, after all, a one-time action with nothing to back it up with.

She couldn’t stop thinking about the prospective dangers that her dog could pose if things were led in the same way. Su Yum didn’t want her kids to be put in any danger, and she wanted to do anything but fail at her parenting. So, she was now observant of their pet’s behavior and was getting closer to the truth with her efforts.

More Causes For Concern

With the last episode of catching his dog walking oddly, Su Yun saw everything changing day by day. It wasn’t just his attitudes that saw a shift but his physical appearance as well. His body changed in a way that it couldn’t be ignored anymore. His teeth were more prominent than the more giant dog breeds, including Pitbulls and Dobermans.

The kids went from petting Little Black to avoiding him with his scary snarls. Su Yun’s husband was utterly terrified at what this fog was changing into. The family didn’t know what to expect from the dog. They wondered if it was some sickness that caused the changes.
