フィービー・ケイツは、80年代の有名なティーンエイジスターです。『初体験/リッジモント・ハイ』に出演してファンからの人気を高めていったケイツは、『グレムリン』、『グレムリン2 新・種・誕・生』や『プライベイトスクール』にも出演しています。
2人の子供を育てるため、1994年に早々と引退をしているケイツ。夫はハリウッドの有名俳優であるケヴィン・クラインで、1989年に結婚しました。現在はマジソン・アヴェニューに「Blue Tree」という彼女名義のブティックを所有しています。ちょくちょく演技の仕事をこなしているようで、2015年には『レゴ・ディメンション』のテレビゲームに声の提供をしています。
