Bekannt ist Verona Pooth als eine deutsche Moderatorin und Unternehmerin. Sie wurde nach ihrer kurzen Ehe mit Dieter Bohlen insbesondere als Werbestar bekannt. Als sie bei einem Disco-Besuch gebeten wurde, als Sängerin einzuspringen, kam die nun 54-Jährige mit der Musikszene in Kontakt und wurde Teil einer Band. In den neunziger Jahre lernte sie Dieter Bohlen kennen, der sie – zur Überraschung seiner langjährigen Lebensgefährtin Nadja – vom Fleck weg heiratete. Das Paar machte mit dieser Blitzhochzeit Schlagzeilen. Obwohl die Ehe genauso schnell vorbei war wie sie begonnen hatte, ist Verona Pooth seitdem ein Medienstar: Sie bekam eigene Fernsehshows, mehrere Filmrollen und zahlreiche Werbeverträge.
