Rachel Anne McAdams is a Canadian actress born November 17, 1978. Post her graduation; she began working in Canadian film production and television. She made her debut in Hollywood in 2003 with the comedy movie The Hot Chick but became famous in 2004 with her fantastic performance in the romantic drama movie The Notebook.

The Notebook movie was a hit and is based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, in which she starred with Ryan Gosling. Her character of Allie Hamilton with a forbidden love life received a lot of praise from the audience and won numerous awards and nominations.
